Really resting in peace1

Having recently trained as a befriender for people with end-of-life conditions I have been looking at a lot of material around Near Death Experiences, interesting to note that a lot of this stuff paints the same picture, a walk down a path into a hall of light to be greeted by all who have loved you who already have passed over. No mention of a little guy in a red suit with a red hot trident! Hopefully as this material gets more widely circulated the fear of death abates and it is seen as gentle a process and as wonderful as a birth. Problem is for those who depart violently in a car crash or a war zone, but same process applies, less time for the fear to kick in!

What strikes me is that a near death experience
could simply be the product of our mind.

death is not a product of anything,
it's simply the endpoint .

Nobody knows what actually happens
and who, if anybody
greats us.

it could be the beginning of something else
depending on your beliefs.
